Job Title: Accountant

Reports To: Financial Controller

Department: Finance

Overview: Exciting opportunity for an Accountant to lead the Management Accounting and FP&A team in a rapidly expanding Finance department.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts/reports and supporting schedules for UK and European subsidiaries
  • Monthly consolidation of European companies across multiple divisions for reporting purposes
  • Profitability and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation of balance sheet and expense accounts reconciliations
  • Overseeing monthly project costing, capex spend, and budget variance analysis
  • Preparing cashflows at subsidiary and European levels
  • Compiling budget information and creating regional budgets
  • Feasibility analysis on CAPEX and maintaining Fixed Assets Register
  • Managing inter-company invoicing and reconciliations
  • VAT and intrastate reporting
  • Assisting in audit processes
  • Monitoring monthly financial closing processes
  • Assisting in ad-hoc reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements
  • Driving process improvements

Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with 3 years of experience or Part-Qualified accountant with over 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in managing full production of management accounts in dynamic environments
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of VAT and reverse charges
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Experience with RTPro and Acumatica beneficial
  • Engagement with multi-site teams

Soft Skills Needed:

  • Adaptability and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Confidence in clear communication
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
