About the Company
Deanfield Homes is an esteemed SME housebuilder specializing in high-quality residential properties in the South-East of England.
As part of the strategic investment scheme to materialize Deanfield's growth goals, the role of Finance Director has been established. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this pivotal position within the senior management squad will assist the Managing Director in maximizing the company's value, contributing to enhancing its financial performance.
The Role
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, offering significant flexibility in working arrangements.
- Collaborate closely with the Managing Director on operational and strategic business decisions, assuming responsibilities in their absence. Take charge of molding and advancing the finance team, ensuring sufficient resources and capabilities are available to bolster the business;
- Spearhead crucial financial dialogues in Management Board and Executive Board meetings through offering detailed analysis, insights, and interpretations of performance against the business stratagem;
- Supervise all end-of-month procedures to ensure the prompt delivery of precise management information, including cash forecasts and financial models. Oversee the year-end process in collaboration with external auditors and shareholders;
- Monitor financial performance, decipher and pinpoint trends, and offer recommendations to enhance the business. Supervise banking activities and reinforce relationships with financial backers.
The Candidate
- A certified accountant with an outstanding record as a Finance Director in the homebuilding sector. Prior experience in the SME realm is advantageous;
- An influential figure with a commanding presence, showcasing broad operational expertise and a knack for adding value to all facets of the business;
- A collaborative team player and strategic visionary with exceptional communication skills and business acumen. Proficiency in devising and presenting effective business plans is essential;
- Demonstrated extensive experience in managing banking operations and nurturing solid partnerships with funding sources. Strong competency in IT/systems, with a history of utilizing COINS or similar ERP systems.
The Rewards
Offering a competitive base salary of approximately £130,000 along with a generous bonus and benefits package.
