Team Lead the ED admin staff in ensuring a smooth running of the service.
  • Supporting the senior management team with any data requests or reports.
  • Line managing a team ensuring appraisals and mandatory training are up to date.
  • Undertaking sickness review meetings with staff.
  • Working as part of the admin team in registering patients that attend the Emergency Department via own transport / Ambulance.
  • Supporting in the admissions and discharges of patients electronically on the system
  • Taking phone calls / patient enquiries and liaising with nursing and medical teams.
  • Supporting admin staff in any complex cases.
  • To support and participate with recruitment and selection and training new staff.
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective delivery of sensitive or complex information relating to both staff and service users.
  • Ability to multitask and continue to function to a high standard when under pressure.
