Shift Engineer
Encirc supplies container glass to some of the world's largest food and beverage companies.

Main Responsibilities


As Shift Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining fault finding, condition monitoring and continuous improvement of all plant and equipment associated with the beverages filling hall.


You will take responsibility for ensuring the safe working practices and conduct of contractors, provide technical support to the process improvement team, and identify quality issues.

You will deal with planned maintenance schedules ensuring they are actionedwithin deadlines, ensure all non-routine outages are dealt with in an urgent manner and the work carried out effectively as well as providing technical support to Engineering Manager for the implementation of planned maintenance.


Minimum Requirements:

  • S7 PLC knowledge/experience
  • Background in fault finding, planned and reactive maintenance essential
  • Basic Knowledge of PLC's including Siemens
  • Lean and S5 manufacturing would be advantageous
  • Good practical skills and a commonsense approach
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure if, for example, an entire production line is shut down, and a willingness to work unsociable hours when required
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team

Salary:
Up to £51,000 per annum

Working Hours:4 on 4 off - 12 hour shifts, days and nights
