We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Deep Sea World
Join the team at Scotland's National Aquarium where we offer visitors the chance to experience the UK's longest underwater viewing tunnel, mysterious coral reefs, majestic sharks and our amazing seal sanctuary.
Over 40 displays, including the 4.5-million-litre Underwater Safari with its walkthrough tunnel, are home to hundreds of fascinating creatures, ranging from seals and seahorses to stingrays and giant sand tiger sharks.

To assist in the running of the catering outlets in an efficient manner, offering excellent customer service, maximising sales and complying with all hygiene rules and regulations.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- To prepare food to the highest quality, following all health and safety and hygiene procedures
- To clean and tidy all kitchen/catering areas and equipment daily and weekly in accordance with the kitchen cleaning schedules.
- To receive deliveries and distribute to the designated area, checking temperatures and condition of goods in accordance with Food Hygiene standards.
- Ensure all saleable products are on display, correctly priced and that stock levels are maintained as appropriate.
- To maintain a safe and clean kitchen, servery and seating area at all times
- Assist with other departments across the Aquarium when required and offer excellent customer service
- Experience of working as a Cook within a similar environment
- Be presentable, professional, friendly with a positive approach.
- Familiar with food hygiene standards
- Sociable working hours between 9am 5.30pm
