£11.50 per hour

West Jesmond, Newcastle

Purpose of Job


Keith is a lovely 76-year-old year old gentleman who lives on his own in the West Jesmond area of Newcastle upon Tyne.

He enjoys going to the natural history museum, visiting forestry territories carrying out bird surveys and reports and has many other outdoor interests.

He likes spending his time doing quizzes and any games that stimulate his intellect.

He enjoys company and likes to chat but at times has felt very isolated, and it has had a detrimental effect on his mood at times.

His mobility isn't great and ideally, he would like his PA to be a car driver although not essential and is prepared to add them to his insurance to enable him to get out a little more.


My care is broken down into:

  • 3 hours for encouragement to shower and ensure safety with transfers, to promote my personal care, dressing lower half and ensuring skin integrity.
  • 5 hours support with meals/drinks and prompt medication throughout the week and telephone calls to remind me to take medication.
  • 2 hours domestic support
  • 1hour laundry
  • 2 hours shopping
  • 4 hours outdoor activities
A DBS and references are required for this position.
