Wood Machinist Position at a Leading Manufacturer of Premium Fencing, Gates, and Garden Accessories

New Appointments Group is teaming up with a premier manufacturer of premium fencing, gates, and garden accessories. If you live near the site, make sure you have your own transport, as it's essential for this role.

Wood Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machinery like chop saw, wood planes, sander, circular saw, etc.
  • Utilize hand tools and assist in general assembly tasks
  • Stack timber and maintain yard cleanliness
  • Work efficiently to ensure smooth production flow
  • Follow work instructions precisely

Required Skills:

  • Prior experience with machinery, preferably in woodworking
  • Background in a production environment is advantageous
  • Reliable, with a strong work ethic and organizational abilities
  • Keen attention to detail and high accuracy level
  • Good time management and punctuality
  • Capable of lifting objects within reason

What's Offered:

  • Working hours are 8am-5.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-4.30pm on Fridays
  • Immediate start is possible
  • Free parking available
  • Temporary position initially, with the potential for permanent placement
