Wireman


Responsible for building of panel products individually and / or part of a team which meet the company and client expectations in cost and quality.

Enclosures -Interpreting technical drawings.

Using hand and power tools to assemble enclosures at a satisfactory work rate.
Panel Wiring - From a schematic, engineers drawing or photograph, interpret and produce wiring sets

Backplates & Mountings - From a general arrangement drawing interpret and mountings position components.

Key Skills Required
Safe working knowledge of all test equipment, hand tools, power tools (including drills and jigsaws) and the use of appropriate PPE
Competent in interpreting engineer's drawings
Sound knowledge of electrical products and equipment
Apprentice trained and/or qualifications to equivalent NVQ - Level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering - Desirable but not essential
