Job description for:
Wellbeing and Mental Health suuport

We are looking for competent and capable counsellors to join our team delivering support within professional and community-based environments.

Location

Dorchester DT1

These roles are
Face-to-Face Counselling in our Poundbury Rooms.

The Person:

  • You will be an experienced counsellor with in the region of 100+ hours post qualification clientfacing hours (in addition to any training required hours).
  • OR. You are studying your level 4 or above in counselling skills and looking to gain clientfacing experience, during which time you will be suitably supervised.

The following skills sets are desirable:

  • Specific training in the areas of Children,
  • Teenagers and Young Adults.
  • Eating disorders
  • Couples
  • Bereavement


You will be enthusiastic and very much a team-minded person working towards our common objectives of increased wellbeing with the Dorset community.


Your open and straightforward approach, with your willingness to continue learning with the ability to adapt to varying client needs and expectations will add value to our existing team.


Qualification:

  • Level 4 (working towards) or above in Counselling skills (Diploma) as recognised by the BACP or equivalent.
  • Certification of Proficiency as required by the BACP or equivalent.
  • Current and valid enhanced DBS.
  • Membership of the BACP or similar.

The Role:


We are looking for therapists who are both flexible in terms of availability, approach and working with the presenting therapeutic needs of the clients.
