Role overview:


The Global Thematic Lead - Green Jobs and Decent Work will play a key role in ensuring quality thematic content across the VSO project portfolio to demonstrate the value of Volunteering for Development.

They will lead on the technical content of proposal designs and develop programme model for resilient livelihood practices utilizing Volunteering for Development methodology while collaboratively working with the livelihood practice area team.


Skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Should have strong expertise in livelihoods, green jobs jobs and decent work and/or supporting micro and small enterprises, with handson experience in low resource/informal sector environments. Demonstrate a good understanding of the program life cycle and ability to use innovative and effective practices to design, implement and measure the progress of green jobs and decent work interventions.

Qualifications in economics, social and environmental sciences, management or a related field required or an equivalent in relevant experience is desirable.
