Our newly formed Behaviour Change team is actively searching for a Senior Behaviour Change Officer to design and deliver behaviour change initiatives and interventions, aimed at establishing a future transport ecosystem that meets our regional goals. Working closely with the Behaviour Scientist and Influencing Transport Lab, you will contribute to social research projects aimed at understanding current transportation habits in the region and devising strategies to promote sustainable travel options.
The Influencing Transport Lab is a nationally recognised centre of excellence focusing on Transport Behaviour Change and was introduced to facilitate and action collaboration in the field, allowing the sector to make faster progress towards a sustainable transport ecosystem. Collaborating with stakeholders, central government and third-party sectors, your role will be pivotal in supplying the Lab with essential research and both quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision-making processes.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of delivering interventions, conducting research and providing detailed analysis. We need someone with strong attention to detail and a curious mind with a passion for behaviour change.
Please note, this is a 2 year fixed term contract.
What will you be doing?

  • Deliver projects, interventions and initiatives in line with our transport goals.
  • Scope, deliver and monitor projects and the adoption of new innovations into business as usual.
  • Acquiring additional resources and support such as project management, procurement, legal and finance to ensure projects are delivered in line with corporate governance.
  • Support the development and delivery of a strategy for future transport.
  • Create, manage and monitor contracts, collaboration agreements and other agreements between TfWM and public and private sector partners.
  • Support social research activities and have a grasp of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Undertake analysis of evidence and produce insight reports to be presented at internal and external meetings.
About you.
  • Experience and capability of working and collaborating with other Public and Private sector partners.
  • Experience of delivering successful projects / interventions and embedding these into Business as Usual.
  • A detailed understanding of behavioural science / psychology and change techniques and models
  • Experience in conducting / commissioning quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Experience of presenting findings and insights from projects to internal and external partners

Hybrid working, location and working pattern.
