Main Responsibilities

As a Assistant Managerat Catherine Jones, you will sell remarkable jewellery.
Unlike the high street jewellers, the work we specialise in is made in our own workshops, by designer makers and small manufacturers fashioning pieces with diamonds, coloured gemstones and precious metals.

You will engage positively to welcome our customers.
You will listen carefully to each customer to make them feel special and give them confidence to describe the needs we are helping to fulfil. Your aim will be to make new clients feel warmly welcomed and thoughtfully served so they will come back for other gifts. Many clients return time and again to Catherine Jones because of how they are served, the special jewellery, the services we offer and our forward-looking approach towards jewellery design. Generations of the same families have been coming over the six decades since the firm was established in 1963.

There's a great deal to learn about jewellery.
We offer full training to ensure you are confident to to take on responsibility and to be responsible for what you do. It is an advantage if you already have professional qualifications such as Jet 1 or a degree in jewellery or design.

As a full-service jeweller, we offer jewellery and watch repairs, engraving, we restore or re-fashion family heirlooms or heritage pieces. This work requires great attention to detail and tracking, in direct contact with the workshops.

As the Assistant Manager your prime consideration is to make every customer feel welcome, to be attentive and helpful, to create the right atmosphere for their purchase.
Your aim is to create a wonderful customer experience.

At Catherine Jones we seek to create a harmonious working environment. We are a close-knit team where all colleagues support each other sharing CJs values and our commitment to warm, friendly and excellent service.

You will have a great eye for detail that you turn into ensuring the jewellery is kept sparkling and the displays are neat and tidy. The presentation of the show room and of yourself are paramount.

Professional qualifications an advantage. Well train you of course.

The Assistant Manager reports to our Sales and Operations Manager.

Applicants must live within commuting distance of Cambridge.
