Overview

RSM UK's Technology & Cyber Risk Assurance (TRA) practice provides technologyrisk and assurance services to a wide range of financial servicesorganisations. This is an exciting time to be involved in technology risk, as regulatoryrequirements, technology developments and consumer expectations evolve at afast pace and the demand for assurance is continually growing within the sector.Clients are seeking assurance on building and operating robust risk and controlframeworks while maintaining commerciality and consumer confidence and meetingindustry and regulatory expectations.

TRA plays an important role in supporting clientsthrough assurance and advisory work on their journeys to understand andimplement technology regulations and to transform their technology base andgovernance.

The team consists of members who are highlyexperienced in technology and regulatory environments and developments and isevolving at a fast pace to meet this demand.

Opportunity

 We have an opportunity to join TRA as either a Senior or Principal Consultant(depending on experience).

The role will involve working as partof a team on the delivery of quality, on budget and timely financial servicestechnology risk assurance and advisory work. You will work with and support theTRA portfolio leads who are responsible for managing the delivery of the engagements.You will also manage a small portfolio of clients in financial servicesyourself to support your career development.
You'll benefit from ongoing coaching, careermentoring, and be supported by the TRA career pathway that was launched in2021. This provides you with an opportunity to continue to develop marketleading skills across our different capabilities and advance your professionaldevelopment by undertaking relevant qualifications to follow on from the CISAqualification you already have.

Responsibilities

Delivery of quality TRA audits to budget and within agreed timescales. Understanding and application of RSM methodology and premium quality requirements in delivering audit work. Developing relationships with financial services clients and identifying further opportunities for business development. Monitoring and reporting on KPIs for your portfolio/client commitments based on defined delivery protocol and other MI, so that we can meet budget and quality requirements and to identify continuous improvement opportunities. Supporting the overall team in continued product and services development (for example Payments, FCA/PRA regulations, SWIFT, Data Protection, Operational Resilience, Project Assurance and wider regulatory services). Act as SME and advisory contact to internal and external stakeholders on technology and regulatory matters. Supervision and coaching of auditors on assignments. Onboarding new team members to ensure consistency in the team delivering technology risk assurance and advisory services.

Requirements for the role

CISA qualified. Robust IT audit experience within the financial services sector and UK regulatory environment. Proven ability to produce quality documentation and reporting. Experience of managing multiple clients/assignments. Ability to travel to clients, whether by car or by public transport. Excellent financial services technical and regulatory knowledge (in particular, FCA/PRA requirements, EU directives, industry standards and certification, such as- Payments, Data Protection, Operational Resilience, ISO27001, NIST). Passion and enthusiasm to learn and stay abreast of regulatory developments impacting technology and financial services. Ability to readily adapt new regulatory knowledge to assurance and advisory work. Experience of coaching and supervision. Excellent written and communication skills. A passion for delivering a premium service and product. Able to manage your time effectively to complete work within budget and achieve deadlines. Confident with excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
