Job Summary

Welcome to FCMS

We are looking for Advanced Clinical Practitioners with extensive clinical experience in minor injuries and illness in a Primary Care setting. The candidate must have a completed relevant MSc in advanced practice to work as part of the medical team, treating a full range of adult and pediatric acute conditions. Join our friendly, expanding team at FCMS Urgent and Emergency Care Doncaster, providing high-quality NHS care to the people of Doncaster around the clock.

As a Social Enterprise health and wellbeing services provider, we offer NHS care and additional benefits at FCMS. The salary for this position reflects an 8a grade.

Upon appointment, this role will include a Golden Hello payment of £2500, paid in two installments after the first 3 and 6 months of employment.

Hours: Negotiable

Pay: £ per hour depending on experience

Main Duties of the Job

  • Work across multiple areas including Urgent Treatment Centre, Same Day Health Centre, home visiting service, and OOH triage services.
  • Support patient access to same-day health services and NHS services in Doncaster.
  • Engage in policy development and evaluation for clinical practice.
  • Maintain professional standards and competencies.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and complaints management.

  • Assess, diagnose, and plan evidence-based care.
  • Undertake advanced skills appropriate to the role.

Non-Medical Prescribing

Valid registration with a V300 qualification is required for prescribing roles.

  • Hold an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
  • Identify development needs and lead service improvements.
  • Provide clinical supervision and contribute to governance outcomes.

Research and Development

  • Evaluate clinical practice and research findings.
  • Disseminate research results and implement findings.
  • Promote best practice within the team.

Communication and Working Relationships

  • Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and other professionals.
  • Minimize conflict and document patient interactions.

Health and Safety

  • Comply with safety policies and report hazards.
  • Follow manual handling guidelines and infection control procedures.
  • Manage challenging situations and prioritize safety.

Physical Effort and Working Conditions

  • Follow manual handling guidelines and risk assessments.
  • Manage clinical care in challenging conditions and situations.

Specific Job Requirements
