A market leading company with a global presence is looking for a unique new member to their highly productive finance team.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for a number of accounting tasks required by this specialist position withinthe team.


Key duties include:

  • Processing correctly and accurately purchase ledger invoices and credit notes
  • Reconciling supplier statements accurately
  • Sending remittances ensuring these are monitored and resent where necessary.
  • Creating accurately BACS files for upload to Internet bank
  • Processing nominal ledger payments accurately when required
  • Maintaining the PO system closing any redundant purchase orders & maintaining a sound & reliable system for records that may need to be referred to in future.
  • Eliminating negative balances from the ledger
  • Maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring the tidiness of it as well as the accuracy
  • Dealing with ALL issues within the purchase ledger regardless of the origination of the issue to liaise with any colleagues as necessary but to take responsibility & be accountable for the purchase ledger as a whole.
  • Allocating accurately cash, credit notes, invoices etc
