Join our Team as a Financial Controller in Ipswich
The UK site of an International Group is looking for a skilled Financial Controller to be a part of our leadership team. This role is crucial in driving change and impacting the organization's strategy. Based in Ipswich, you might need to travel occasionally to other UK company sites.
You'll directly report to the UK Managing Director and the Finance Director at Group level.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, manage, and report on the financial status of the business.
- Supervise the accounting function and lead a team of two.
- Manage debtor and creditor controls, prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and analysis.
- Offer advice on financial matters for informed business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage company accounting software for accurate financial transactions.
- Present monthly financial information.
- Monitor financial metrics and company KPIs.
- Support debt collection and company cash flow management.
- Oversee company costings and GP management.
- Conduct company costing reports and handle procurement and negotiation.
- Assist in acquisition due diligence and integration.
- Participate in finance-related projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
- Financial awareness and strong numeracy skills.
- Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to effectively communicate financial information.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Organized and motivated to meet deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERPS and finance systems.
