We are collaborating with a major aviation company that is currently seeking an EHS Lead in Flintshire.
12-month contract - On-site position
£29 per hour Umbrella
£21 per hour PAYE
Summary:
The EHS Lead will play a crucial role in offering comprehensive support to the Ramp Up Project Leaders who oversee the delivery of essential work packages for the Single Aisle Wing Programme.
These projects are vital for the SA Rate Ramp Up and encompass various aspects of the business including ISS/PAC, Structures, Equipping, and Paint.
This role demands a profound understanding of the processes and protocols related to the acquisition, installation, and activation of industrial assets with the primary objective of ensuring safety, well-being, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safety-centric culture within the team and act as a safety advocate.
- Collaborate with the EHS team for guidance on EHS strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Assist Project Leaders and MFTs in ensuring project scopes adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and establish priorities for risk management.
- Develop and implement local procedures and systems in alignment with EHS standards.
- Apply environmental and health & safety policies to projects.
- Offer direct support to Project Leaders to guarantee safe industrial asset installations.
Required Skills:
o Proficiency in PUWER Compliance
o Expertise in Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work
o Experience in Ergonomic Assessment
o Knowledge of CDM compliance
o Familiarity with statutory inspections
o Competence in Fire Risk Assessment
o Understanding of Impacts and Aspects studies
Educational Background:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Thorough understanding of PUWER and relevant legislation.
