About the role
To support the efficient and effective set up of all training activities and equipment support, this to include Incident Ground, servicing area, Appliance Bay, and Stores as required

What you'll be doing:

  • Support in Setting up all types of fire exercises, including materials and clearing away of the resultant debris.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and undertake minor maintenance in all relevant training venues
  • Cleaning of internal venue lighting. Cleaning drains, gullies, and interceptors
  • Removal of wastewater from fire buildings
  • To clean and service Operational Support equipment (training will be provided).
  • To report all building and equipment defects and issues, aiding a quick and timely response to service requirements.
  • To service or clean all sets, cylinders and ancillary equipment as required. (Training will be provided).
  • To recharge and inspect used cylinders, maintaining records of all test and maintenance as directed.
  • General driving duties, both on and offsite,
  • Cleaning, drying, and restowing as required, of all Operational Support equipment on fire appliances and Specialist vehicles.
  • Routine minor repair, cleaning of firefighting and rescue equipment, maintaining records of all test and maintenance carried out (training will be provided).
  • To proactively assist in managing the Operational Support areas, maintaining the building and site general cleanliness.
  • Any other duties that might be required from time to time by the Non-Mobile Stores Team Leader including supporting other Teams.
  • Ensure that vehicles are equipped and all Incident Ground training aids ready for use.
