As an Associate Director Project Controls, you will manage the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets for the Project, and Coordinate the communication and monitoring of project governance controls in order to enable the successful delivery of the Client Programme.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Manage the establishment of contractor requirements from Project Controls perspective through early supply chain engagement to support the time, cost, and quality targets for the programme of works and monthly business reporting.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to improve/sustain operating policies to mitigate risk throughout the project and take a lead in the monitoring of risk policy adherence.
  • Support the Project Leaders by pointing out the main challenges of the project from planning, cost and risk perspectives and providing advice and thought leadership.
  • Lead periodic correlation of schedule, cost, quality, and risk to drive expedient project delivery.
  • Manage the coordination and communication of the periodic reporting cycle, ensuring the reporting pack is developed for and presented to project leaders.
  • Leading change control management for the project as per the processes, policies, and governance of the organisation.
  • Lead a team by setting individuals' objectives, reviewing performance, undertaking appraisals and providing on-going feedback on a formal and informal basis, to ensure all staff are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against their objectives.
  • Undertake self-assessment of procedural compliance, sharing lessons learned and best practice within the Project Controls community.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Project Management or Project Controls role within large, complex infrastructure, energy, defence, or similar projects, preferably with a formal professional Project Management qualification.
  • Experience in consultancy and being willing to be seconded to and add value to the client organisations by performing outstandingly and building exceptional client relations.
  • Knowledge of major infrastructure or construction projects under NEC Forms of Contract, and of the context specifically surrounding Client and the consultation process.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and information flow in a matrix environment, possessing an aptitude to work across business areas and provide specialist advice as required.
  • Experience of Directing and motivating a team within a large-scale project environment.
  • Possessing attention to detail always, with ability to solve complex problems / mitigate risks.
  • Knowledge of public sector policies, processes and procedures and associated political impacts.
