JOB TITLE:
'Go Wild' Transport Support Worker

REPORTS TO:
Holiday Activity Project Lead

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
N/A

LOCATION:
Start from West Park, Goole and back - via Old Goole and Swinefleet

HOURS OF WORK: 8.30 am - approx. 9.30 am, then 2.30 pm pm (2.5 hours a day) (20 days)

Programme runs Monday - Friday from Monday 29 July - Friday 23 August days)

SALARY BAND:
£11.50 per hour (paid weekly in arrears)

It is a requirement of this post that an enhanced DBS is in place prior to the programme commencing.
PurpOse of Post

Groundwork Yorkshire provides holiday programmes during school holidays for children who live within East Riding.

In 2024 we have secured funding to provide transport (a minibus) to young people from Old Goole and Swinefleet. You will accompany the driver to Old Goole (outside the Moorlands) and Swinefleet (outside the village hall).

You will register children onto the bus, ensuring they are safe and secure and accompany them to the Playscheme at West Park.

You will accompany them from West Park at the end of the scheme home ensuring they are safely returned to parents/carers.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of children in your care.
  • To liaise with the minibus to ensure times/locations/bookings
  • To ensure that parents register their children on the bus at the beginning and end of each day.
  • Play an active role in the team and actively promote a positive image of Groundwork at all times.
  • To comply with Groundwork's Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Child Protection policies at all times.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

Job Type:
Temporary contract

Contract length: 1 month

Salary:
£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12.5 per week

Experience:

- direct work with children and young people: 1 year (required)
