Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking Part Feeders to join their well-established client based in Pentwyn, Cardiff on a permanent basis.


Employment:
Full-time, permanent

Salary:
£21,024.39 per annum plus 25% shift premium

Hours:
Afternoons, working Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm, and Friday 12pm - 7pm

Role objective:

  • Main function of the role is to effectively ensure that the correct parts are supplied on time to production
  • Ensure all run switches are followed and supplied in line with the BOM
  • Ensure that all returns are carried out on a timely basis
  • Control material in line with ISO requirements and follow all production and warehouse process flow requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Receipt, safe storage, movement, and issue of material manually, and/or using mechanical handling equipment (i.e. Pump Truck)
  • Carry out stock checks of materials
  • Reporting any problems relating to materials or equipment to Material Controller or Section Leader
  • Reporting of any potential safety hazards to the Material Controller / Section Leader
  • General housekeeping duties and Health & Safety to keep work areas safe
  • Responsibility of controlling scrap + rejects
  • Following ISO procedures (i.e. bill of materials)
  • Assist with any adhoc duties as and when required

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Good numerical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good flexibility and adaptability
  • A positive, enthusiastic approach to their work
  • Previous parts feeding and component knowledge would be an advantage
  • Shop floor process skills would be an advantage
