The role is to ensure an effective and efficient operation of cleaning services within AHKES by following the documented cleaning schedule for the site.

This is a part-time position working 16 hours per week.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the documented cleaning schedule is followed.
  • Polish and dustoffices.
  • Hoover and mop floors offices.
  • Ensure all toilets, showers and locker rooms are kept clean and replenished on a regular basis.
  • Polish glass on the doors and windows.
  • Collect rubbish and throw it in the skip.
  • Empty the recycle bins and shredders.
  • Clean all kitchen facilities.
  • Restock kitchens.
  • Report any incident or accident.
  • To wear any protective clothing provided by the Company.
  • Report any maintenance requirements such as light bulb replacement, leaking wash basins etc.
  • Ensure safety in the workplace and in this respect ensuring compliance with all instructions relating to the use and storage of materials/equipment necessary for the performance of his/her tasks.
  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

Required Knowledge and Work Experience

  • Adaptable.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of industrial cleaning.
