Job Purpose


Inver Re is the reinsurance broker of the Ardonagh Group - one of the UK's largest and fastest growing Insurance Brokers, handling over £10bn of GWP in the last 12 months.

The Technical Processing role at Inver Re is an important one. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that your clients are serviced to the highest standards through the accurate and timely

  • Creation of their policy / binder / treaty risks on the policy administration system
  • Processing of transactions relating to those policies
  • Resolution of queries that arise


You will achieve this through close liaison with your Account Manager, Claims and IBA colleagues, all working together to deliver the best service outcomes for your clients.


Key Accountabilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • This is an important role involving working with Account Managers, Claims, IBA and your Technical Processing colleagues to deliver excellent client service through:
  • Working to set up and process Treaty, Binder and other risks quickly, accurately and efficiently.
  • Working closely with colleagues to solve problems quickly, whilst keeping those involved uptodate.
  • Using Inver Re, Lloyd's and Company market systems (including TradEd, Global XB, LORS, Crystal) to undertake assigned work to time scales as directed.
  • Maintaining uptodate and orderly files.
  • Helping develop junior colleagues, improving their technical capabilities.

Client Service:

  • Prioritising client service is an essential part of the role.
  • You will be expected to take ownership of any issues you encounter and escalate to management promptly.

Representing Inver Re:

  • Champion the Inver Re name and core values.
  • Represent Inver Re with clients, agents, suppliers and other organisations.

Compliance:

  • Comply with relevant legal, regulatory and Inver Re compliance requirements, Errors and Omissions (E&O) compliance procedures and quality initiatives.
  • Escalate any potential E&O's to Divisional Directors and the Legal & Compliance team at the earliest opportunity.

Person Specification

Essentials:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in a reinsurance processing role, with particular focus on Treaty and /or Binding Authority processing.
- "A" level (or equivalent) passes plus 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) including English and Maths.

  • Accurate and attentive to detail.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Organised and reliable.
  • Collaborative team worker.
  • Ability to work with employees at all organisational levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Desirables:

  • Experience in processing Fac / XoL policies
  • Experience in the use of GXB or Open TWINS
