Situated in Suffolk, our client is a leading provider of advanced performance coatings known for their technical expertise and innovative solutions. They are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to join their team at the Head Office and manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Coatings Technology team to support product and production process testing.
  • Assist in producing laboratory samples and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in research and development projects for specific products, processes, and manufacturing.
  • Conduct tests to ensure product quality in line with quality standards.
  • Prepare official test reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Support testing to ensure process controls in the production facility.
  • Drive performance improvements by engaging in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting to rectify deficiencies in coating processes.
  • Interpret test results and communicate findings effectively.
  • Support the development and maintenance of systems for monitoring product performance.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good administrative and IT skills.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to make a difference.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing is desirable. Full training provided.
  • A-levels in science-related subjects or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to deadlines.
