Estimator

Cornwall / Exeter / Remote with occasional travel to the South West

RGB is proud to be supporting one of the prominent names in Civil Engineering and Construction in the South West.

They are a well-established organization known for handling major infrastructure projects in the region.

With a significant pipeline of Civil Engineering projects, they require a skilled Estimator with a focus on Civil engineering and Infrastructure to oversee project costing and pricing autonomously.

The South West's increasing popularity among visitors, relocators, and businesses highlights the importance of maintaining efficient transport links to support local authorities.

The primary goal of the role is to lead the department and assist the Head of Estimating.


Key responsibilities:
  • Provide estimates and calculate project costs
  • Manage financial, technical, and contractual risks
  • Maximize gross profit to fulfill the contract
  • Lead and motivate a team
  • Support bid team and tenders throughout the process
  • Offer regular forecasts and reports to track project progress

Required experience:

Previous Estimator experience in rail, civil engineering, or infrastructure is essential, especially involving multi-disciplinary projects and frameworks.

This role is suitable for individuals comfortable with remote work, willing to commute to Devon or Cornwall for business or tender meetings.

Technical proficiency and solid knowledge of Infrastructure delivery from reputable Contracting firms are necessary, with client-side experience being a bonus.
