Job Description

In this role, you will be an integral part of our thriving Water Engineering team in the South West, driving impactful projects in Exeter, Bristol, or Cardiff.

Working on a diverse portfolio of water programs and projects in collaboration with major UK water companies and international partners, you will have the opportunity to advance your career as a project manager.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
  • Lead:

Oversee the technical delivery of wastewater and water infrastructure projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative solutions throughout the design process.

  • Manage:

Take charge of key project components from inception to completion, liaising with AECOM teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Collaborate:

Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to secure buy-in for solutions, contributing to AECOM's technical expertise and forward-thinking approach.

  • Quality:

Drive efficiency, coordination, and quality to meet our client's expectations.

  • Mentor:

Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and development.

As part of the team, you will work closely with a variety of engineers to deliver impactful projects from conception to completion. With project teams spanning the UK, you'll have the opportunity to lead a diverse and talented team, driving innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications

Here's what we are looking for:

  • Experience in managing water and wastewater projects
  • Strong commercial acumen, risk management skills, and familiarity with contractual frameworks like NEC4
  • Track record of generating revenue from repeat clients
  • Degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent practical experience
