Job description:

  • This is an exciting position that sits at the heart of the Gambling Commission, and you'll play a vital role in keeping our colleagues informed, engaged, and connected

Your role will involve:

  • Leading and supporting a team of two who are dedicated and passionate about exceptional staff communications.
  • Ensuring all campaigns are aligned to measurable objectives and evaluated in terms of outcomes and impacts, and key learnings or recommendations are shared widely.
  • Working closely with other members of the communications senior management team to ensure alignment and amplification of our internal and external communications as well as role modelling inclusive leadership.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor on internal communications opportunities and challenges, building brilliant relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Overseeing our internal communications channels, ensuring they support, enhance, and amplify the Commission's hybrid working offer and culture.
  • Providing strategic ownership and delivery of internal change communications programmes.
This is a hybrid role, therefore there will be a requirement to attend our Birmingham Office

Person specification:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with proven experience of communicating key messages to audiences in a creative way.
  • Experience with crisis comms management and oversight as well as leading on major internalfacing change comms programmes.
  • Experience in development and delivery of engagement campaigns and internal channel oversight.
  • Executivelevel stakeholder management experience.
  • Team leadership and strategic oversight of an internal communications function.
  • Role modelling accessible, inclusive and engaging internal comms.
  • Ability to manage multiple demanding projects consecutively.


Experience of working alongside high profile projects and programmes and knowledge of communications strategy planning frameworks (e.g., OASIS) would be desirable.


Benefits:

  • Alongside your salary of £59,000, Gambling Commission contributes £15,930 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Find out what benefits a Civil Service Pension provides.
