Delivery Driver Position at Our Client

Our client is in need of a delivery driver with a Valid UK driving license and valid ID documentation, Passport + Driving License. A basic DBS check is required, with previous checks not being valid.

We will also need 5 FULL years of referencing with any gaps over 28 days accounted for. In case the above IDs are unavailable, alternatives like Birth certificate, Proof of national insurance, and proof of address can be accepted, with names matching on official documentation.

Daily Duties:

You will kick off your day by collecting the sorted mail for your route, spending about an hour on this task before heading out in your van to complete your round. You will have a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries, and the round typically takes around four to five hours to finish. The device will also help in routing your round in the most economical way, guiding you to the next house to visit.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be an ambassador of the Brand, maintaining a clean vehicle and being a courteous driver
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of parcels onto the van
  • Deliver products, goods, and parcels safely and efficiently to designated locations within set timeframes
  • Handle sensitive materials with proper authorization if required whilst delivering high standards of customer care
  • Use and maintain delivery equipment including a handheld scanner to deliver up to 100 parcels per day. All training will be provided

Shifts & Salary:

Shifts are between 08:00 am - 8:00 pm, working 5 days out of 7, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends required. Flexibility is a must.

Assignment Length:

Ongoing - Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Pay: £12.90 per hour
