Dawson Levy Resourcingcurrently have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical & Electrical (electrical-bias) to join a leading Water Organisation on a permanent basis in Chesham.

What does the role involve?
Our technicians and engineers are a vital component of what we do. They are key figures on any site and help with the day-to-day operating of our wastewater treatment sites.

Each day can present its challenges and you will work towards achieving the highestequipment efficiencies through routine maintenance, breakdown repair, and improvement work.


You will be responsible for?
Assisting in keeping such a site running, this exciting and varied role consists of the following but is not limited to, these main points:


  • Working on various pumps and associated control gear, 3 phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems such as VSDs, automatic valves and penstocks, flow, level, and pressure measurement, programmable logic controllers,variable speed drives and controls, chemical handling, and dosing equipment

Investigating plant failures and carrying out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions for our customers.

Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance workon mechanical and electrical equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.

Providing technical advice to the wider team:


  • Participation in a 24/7 out of hours' standby Rota will be required after a suitable period of training and assessment

What skills are we looking for:


  • ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering:

A valid driving license is essential:

  • Having previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, with an
    18th Edition qualification is essential:
-
Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues are crucial

  • Be a time served apprentice with
    significant experience in electrical systems ideally working in a "true multiskilled" capacity

Teamwork -We are one team and our end goals are the same
-
Proactive - take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively

Working hours are 38 a week, Monday to Friday. After training, you will be included on the standby rota, for which you receive standby and call-out payments, as well as overtime.

A company van, all necessary tools, and PPE will be provided.
