As a seasoned Senior or Lead Psychologist with a background in the NHS or private sector, you will manage a caseload that involves evaluating service users with complex needs and designing tailored psychological therapies within mental health services.

Join as the Lead Psychologist for a service dedicated to providing specialized mental health treatment for men aged 18 and above, emphasizing personalized care and safe practices for recovery.

In this role, your responsibilities will include conducting individual and group interventions, assessments, multi-disciplinary teamwork, and risk evaluations.

You will lead the psychology department by offering various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, EMDR, and DBT to service users. Additionally, your role will involve providing mentorship, guidance, and supervision to your team, aiding in their development and training with support from the Learning & Development Team.


  • Actively participate in Clinical Leads and Hospital Governance Meetings
  • Support the delivery of psychology services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Engage service users in their care pathway as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to staff training programs and direct interventions
  • Lead Psychology service enhancements with evidence-based initiatives
  • Play a key role in recruiting junior psychology staff
  • Support the implementation of policies for staff safety and risk management

Qualifications required:

  • Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Ability to supervise junior team members
  • Proficiency in cognitive functioning/management tools
