Assisting the patient with catheter and stoma care5. Performing, recording and reporting base line observations e.g. Temperature, pulse, bloodpressure, routine urine testing.6. Escorting patients/relatives7.

Weighing and measuring patients8. Receiving and directing patients and visitors9. Responding to telephone enquiries and taking messages10.

In the absence of the ward clerk:
filing, form filling, photocopying11.
