Estimating Manager

As Technical Estimating Manager you will report into the Manufacturing Manager and have direct responsibility for around 10 individuals.
Technical Estimating Manager- Take responsibility for the safety of the employees working within your manufacturing area.
- Maintain the quality standards to satisfy customer needs and requirements at all times.
- Ensure all tooling and machine parts are produced to the highest standard in accordance with customer requirements.
- Utilise a proactive approach to increasing in-house tooling capability - reducing the need for work to be subcontracted.
- Ensure orders are met through consistent planning, materials management, and organisation of resource requirements, to ensure their efficient use.
- Have overall responsibility for the performance within the team, including discipline, development, supervision, time management, and attendance.
- Offer internal customers costing based on individual requirements.
- Time served 3-4-year machining apprenticeship.
- In-depth knowledge of machining.
- Experience in estimations - preparing accurate cost estimates/quotes, and compiling bids.
- Knowledge of a variety of material properties.
- Experience of dealing with local steel stockholders.
- Line management experience.
