The Governors of The Oakdale Federation are looking to appoint an inspirational senior leader who will provide dynamic leadership, drive success, and continuous improvement whilst ensuring excellent standards of learning and teaching as the Head of School of our highly inclusive Infant School.

  • Have the ability to promote outstanding teaching and learning and understand the importance of building a school culture where all members of the school community can thrive.
  • Have an excellent understanding of the principles of inclusion and meeting the needs of all children, including those who are new to learning English, those with special educational needs and or disabilities, and those who qualify for pupil premium funding
  • Be committed to involving parents and the community as well as key external stakeholders.


This post will be part of the school's Federation Leadership Team which consists of six leaders: The Executive Headteacher, two Heads of Schools, two Assistant Headteachers, and the School Business Leader.

There will be an expectation that the post holder will take a wider view of school leadership, support the strategic direction of the Federation alongside other leaders, and have the overall responsibility for Assessment across the Federation.
