CrossCountry are recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team to process time and attendance data and adjustments into the iTrent system, along with the processing of manual timesheets on a weekly basis, including sickness and overtime.


Purpose of Job & Principal Accountabilities

  • Daily / weekly processing of time and attendance data and adjustments into the iTrent system
  • Processing of manual timesheets on a weekly basis, including sickness and overtime
  • Processing of other overtime and highergrade duty payments
  • Processing of sick leave, maternity pay, paternity pay and other types of leave / absence
  • Processing of HMRC tax code changes and student loans
  • Processing of expense and mileage claims / payments
  • Processing of flexible benefits such as childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, etc
  • Processing of thirdparty deductions / payments court orders, child maintenance payments, Union Subs, etc
  • Calculation of Alabaster when required
  • Processing and checking of pay arrears (retro pay) as / when required
  • Processing / production of P60 and P11D documents
  • Support resolution of pay issues / queries
  • Supports the Payroll Supervisor with system / data audits and reconciliation
  • Undertakes peer data entry checks

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a payroll function as a Payroll Officer / Administrator
  • Previous experience using MHR iTrent payroll software


Computer literate
  • Microsoft Office / Office 36
  • Highly numerate and confident using MS Excel to undertake offline manual payroll calculations
  • Strong problemsolving and data analysis skills
  • Keen attention to detail and an ability to identify errors in data / calculations
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Well organised with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
