£17.42 per hour when on Tour Bus (Red bus rate based on experience up to £17.45 per hour)


The success of our City Sightseeing London operation means that we're looking for more Tour Bus Drivers to join our team.

Our Tour Bus Drivers will also be required to drive TfL Red Buses as part of their contract.


Our sightseeing customers will be looking forward to a great day out in London and you will provide the best experience possible.

Every day you will put on a smile and show London and our tours at their best.


If you have what it takes to make someone's day, whether they come from Perth (Australia) or Perth (Scotland), and are dedicated to putting a smile on the face of our customers, this could be an ideal opportunity for you.

We will expect you to demonstrate your commitment to providing the best customer experience, whilst providing high quality professional driving standards, which will ensure our customers, feel they would not want to experience London any other way than on one of our tours


Our tour drivers are friendly, welcoming, passionate brand ambassadors who enjoy interacting with customers and the experience of driving within central London.


You will need an in-depth knowledge of London, as you will be offering advice and assistance to our customers on amongst other things tourist attractions and transport connections.

You want you to think on your feet and be confident to make decisions that will positively affect the reputation of our sightseeing tours.

Here's what we need from you:

  • An enthusiastic personality with a working knowledge of London, including its sights, history, tourist attractions and transport network
  • Ability to communicate effectively and be innovative in communicating with nonEnglish speaking customers
  • Able to work from our locations in East and south east London, although your place of work may change as the operation expands and you'd also be expected to occasionally sign on/off within central London
  • Uptodate understanding of the Road Traffic Act and the laws relating to PCV operations, in addition to a valid PCV licence. A willingness to attain industry related customer experience and tourism qualifications as required.
  • A flexible mindset towards start and finish times, along with days of work
  • NB: the position will involve a high degree of responsibility for making decisions with customer's safety and customer experience at the heart. This service will operate 7 days a week, 364 days a year between the hours of 07:00 and 22:00, however, these hours may differ during special times of the year. Therefore, you should be willing to work any 5 out of 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays as rostered. While working as a tour driver you'll be paid 'sign on to sign off' with no deductions for meal relief, currently £17.42 per hour, for a guaranteed minimum of 38 hours pay in any working week. When not required as a tour driver you will work on our TfL contracted services on the rate of pay and conditions relating to this._
