Butler Rose is currently assisting a company in the Welington (Somerset) area in their search for a Buyer. This role is instrumental in the company's procurement process, ensuring a steady supply chain by acquiring goods, materials, and services while considering factors such as price, quality, and delivery.

Duties:

  • Monitor projects in Stock system, manage procurement of items.
  • Make buy decisions and place necessary orders.
  • Ensure Purchase Orders cover full requirements.
  • Handle requisitions from quote to delivery.
  • Check order confirmations for accuracy.
  • Conduct RFQ exercises to find best value solutions.
  • Manage replenishment functions in Stock system.
  • Update stakeholders on order progress.
  • Expedite orders and notify stakeholders of any issues.
  • Represent procurement department in internal meetings.
  • Update internal databases with order details.
  • Track monthly savings.
  • Verify product deliveries against purchase orders.
  • Resolve order discrepancies with suppliers alongside Quality Manager.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other tasks within job scope.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Experienced buyer, CIPS qualification desirable.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Understanding of purchasing procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office Packages.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • History of effective supply management.

Package:

  • Salary £32,000 with opportunities for career growth.
