What you'll do:


We're looking for someone to become a trusted adviser to a portfolio of clients, advising them on suitable wealth management and third-party solutions, including pensions, inheritance tax and other complex areas.

You'll consistently provide an outstanding client experience, making sure that you deliver prompt and efficient responses to client requests and take responsibility for effectively resolving any complaints.


Throughout the course of your work, you'll expand the size and quality of your client base through initiating new relationships, developing existing ones and developing relationships with stakeholders.


You'll also be:

  • Driving high client retention and satisfaction
  • Contributing to profit, sales and product targets by selling appropriate products and services to your portfolio of clients
  • Keeping up to date with financial markets and macroeconomic news, in order to effectively communicate to colleagues and clients
  • Managing a Private Banking Assistant and providing training and development, and acting as a role model to less experienced colleagues

The skills you'll need:


To be successful in this role, you'll hold modules one, two and three of the IFS School of Finance CeMAP or have a suitable equivalent.

You'll have experience banking or financial services with a broad understanding and knowledge of financial products and services, coupled with a high level of relationship, sales, risk and business development skills.

Ideally, you'll already hold a degree, an ACIB or a Chartered Banker qualification, or you'll be actively pursuing one.

We'll also expect you to have:

  • Experience of analysing financial information and identifying appropriate solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and networking skills
  • The ability to plan effectively and work under pressure, with good team working skills
  • A track record of meeting financial and service targets
  • A background of developing valued client relationships
