We currently have a vacancy in our Residential Care Home Eastcroft Grange situated in Harrington, Workington.

Person Specification

  • A warm and friendly disposition

Responsibilities:

1. (a) Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, etc. to the required standard.
(b) Cleaning the public areas at predetermined times, when those areas contain few or no residents.

  • Equipping the domestic's trolley with adequate supplies and keeping it neat and tidy.
  • Using the cleaning materials correctly and carefully.
  • Carefully handling and maintaining equipment.
  • Reporting maintenance defects and safety hazards.
  • The prompt reporting of lost and found property to the Housekeeper.
  • Being helpful and polite to the residents.
  • Maintaining personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Following the security procedure.
  • Special cleaning jobs as assigned by the Housekeeper.
  • Attending training sessions, as and when required.
  • Following Health & Safety at Work, Hygiene and Fire precautions.
  • To carry out all other duties at designated by the Housekeeper/Matron.
  • To carry out the domestic duties as per the rota.
Shifts: 4 days out of 7 per week, includes working 2 weekend in four.
