Every sofa, chair and stool is meticulously handmade in our factory by are team. Their integrity, care and detail sets George Smith apart from the competition.Working as part of production team you will support the Production Manager in the organization of all part of the production process
Specifically this will include:
- Liaising with relevant departments to ensure all materials and information is available and ready to issue to upholstery
- Issue jobs to Upholstery, Cutting and Sewing Teams in line with the master build list.
- Maintain records of WIP and completed product on the master build list.
- Highlight concerns where deliveries may not be met.
- Ensure the accuracy of time sheets and input data for individual efficiencies.
- Calculate the weekly WIP value
- Authorize and administer staff leave in line with management guidelines
The Person:
- Experience in organizing a production environment.
- Understanding of the principals of material planning.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in record keeping.
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Effective IT skills especially data entry
