, GLASGOW**We are looking for a motivated individual to join the team of 30 Haematology consultants in Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

The successful applicants will be based at the new
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, and will help support laboratory and clinical services across the South Sector.

They will a form a team of 7 consultants working across South Glasgow in busy hospitals to meet day case, outpatient, inpatient, consultative and laboratory commitments.


The successful applicant will be involved in the on-going development of Clinical & Laboratory Haematology services for GG&C and will have the opportunity of developing a special interest in Plasma Cell Disorders, this could also include transplantation and cellular therapies.

The on-call within the department will be 1 in 7 with this post.


All newly qualified Consultants are initially offered a minimum of 1 Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) which includes CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, job planning and management meetings.

This will be reviewed within 6 months (or earlier if required) of appointment and revised upwards if additional responsibilities are agreed.
