Quantinuum are seeking to hire an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineerto join our Cambridge-based cloud platform team. In this role, you will work within a small team to ensure the quality and performance of cloud infrastructure and application services for our quantum computing platform. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based software, but you will also contribute to the definition and verification of requirements to ensure that the software meets customers' needs.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to design and implement test plans and contribute to the development of QA processes and best practices. Ideally you will have experience of testing complex web applications or developing and testing scientific computing software.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to work closely with world-leading researchers and build testing infrastructure which supports their scientific developments.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3+ years' experience of professional software testing
  • Experience developing tests and automation in Python or similar languages
  • Experience working with tools like Cypress, Selenium or Locust
  • Attention to detail when ensuring software specifications are met
  • A strong understanding of the entire software delivery lifecycle
  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science, Science, or Engineering.
It would be desirable to have:
  • Experience with TypescriptFamiliarity with Docker and microservice architectures
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies such as property based testing or metamorphic testingInterest in quantum computing
