Taskmaster is currently searching for skilled Vehicle Recovery Driver – Class 1 and 2 to join our client's growing team in Rainham, Wimbledon & Heathrow. Both day and night shifts are up for grabs for successful candidates, aiding in the efficient and secure vehicle recovery in London.


Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in recovery or tow truck driving.
  • Must possess a current Driver CPC.
  • Must hold a digital tachograph card.
  • Working knowledge of tachograph legislation.
  • Driving Licence requirement of Category C, preferably CE. (Training available for Category C to achieve Category CE).
  • Knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques and equipment.
  • Clean Driving Licence without previous disqualifications.
  • Maintain high safety and professionalism standards.
  • Positive and proactive team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work unsupervised with high standards.
  • NPPV2 vetting process clearance required for all successful candidates.

Desirable skills:

  • IVR level training (Institute of Vehicle Recovery).

Duties include:

  • Recover various vehicles across London efficiently and safely using recovery vehicles and equipment.
  • Strict adherence to safety standards.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to clients and customers during recovery operations.
  • Thoroughly inspect recovered vehicles and document damages or issues accurately.
  • Collaborate with fellow recovery drivers and support staff.
  • Complete all administrative tasks including electronic processes accurately and on time.

Salary:

  • £39,060.00 for CE Drivers with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • £37,060.00 for C Drivers, progressing to £39,060 upon achieving Class 1 status.
  • £3,000 Night shift allowance.

Hours:

45 hours per week; Monday-Friday

Day shift – 6.30am-4pm.

Night shift – 8pm-5.30am (including breaks).
