About The Role:

We're seeking an engaging


Falmouth's fully online portfolio has grown significantly since its launch in 2016; by 2030 the University will have 6500 students on-campus, and 8500 off-campus students, this role will help ensure that Falmouth's portfolio is designed to reach new markets and meet evolving student needs.

This role is critical in helping course teams to design and redesign their courses, and acts as an advocate for considered online learning practice through a series of workshops and facilitated sessions.


Digital Learning are a specialist team with the institution who work in partnership with academic departments to develop courses for blended and fully online delivery using the Falmouth pedagogic approach.

Learning Design as a process has been established for a few years, with the last 24 months in particular bringing into sharp focus the importance of considered design when developing blended modules.


About You:

This is a fast-paced role and we're looking for a person who has the energy and commitment needed to ensure our courses are sector leading.

You'll need to be a pro-active 'team player' who works well with people from a range of disciplines and have experience of facilitating design workshops.


  • Wellevidenced knowledge and understanding of the design of pedagogic and assessment processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current course design practice, toolkits, and approaches for UG and PG pathways covering various modes of study (campusbased, online, blended).
  • Experience of running course design workshops that equip academic teams with appropriate tools and skills to design learning activities that align to curriculum principles.
  • High level of skill in presenting complex ideas about online and blended learning and innovation to diverse audiences.
