So if you have the following...

  • A warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special and loved.
  • The ability to laugh at jokes that you don't understand child humour can be a confusing minefield to navigate
  • The skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people are of utmost importance.
  • The ability to remember the names of many children, their parents, siblings, grandparents, pets, and special soft toys. (This is a key component of the job)
  • You must be prepared to have a lot of fun in the workplace.
  • Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like this

Also, you must be prepared to....

  • Read countless stories and be prepared to be interrupted with questions.
  • Sing out of tune about Little Stars, 5 Little Ducks and not forgetting Old MacDonald's Farm.
  • Dance around like no one is watching.
  • Be asked lots of questions about why you left the room, no matter if it is for lunch or for a toilet break.
  • Inspire the lives of lots of little people and help them achieve the goals and milestones according to their development.
Now for the nitty gritty criteria - We are looking for....

  • Qualified Nursery Nurse (Level 2/3 CCLD, Early Years Degree with EYPS, Early Years/teaching degree)
  • Welsh Speaking is desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience working as a nursery practitioner
Two recent references are
required; one of which must be from an educational setting.
