We have a vacancy for a Part Time and Full Time Dispensary Clerk to join our friendly and supportive team.

We are based in the beautiful market town of Blandford Forum, a short drive from Wimborne, Poole, Dorchester and Bournemouth.

As a Dispensary Clerk you would be expected to project a positive and friendly image to dispensary patients and other visitors and deal with queries in a professional, courteous and efficient way.

Dispensary Admin Tasks

• Collection of prescription charges/checking patient exemption statements
• Cash handling
• Maintaining full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions
• Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines
• Handing out prescriptions in accordance with Practice policies
• Undertaking other reasonable duties within the framework of the post
• Experience of working in a public reception environment
• Experience of telephone switchboard operation
• Experience of dealing with the public
• Excellent keyboard and computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense

If you don't have a health background don't worry, we will provide a tailored induction program. You'll be joining a team made up of health professionals such as GP's, Nurses, and Paramedics.
