SURVEYOR PREFERABLY WITH INSURANCE CLAIMS EXPERIENCE
You must be computer literate with database experience

You must have a valid driving licence.

An understanding and knowledge of repair techniques to damaged buildings and their causes.

The ability to be decisive in resolving matters, an appreciation of the importance of delivering outstanding customer service, and excellent communication and empathy skills

Knowledge of CDM

Experience of working to tight timescales and meeting client specific SLA's

The requirement to travel and visit claimants is essential

To visit with policy holders to schedule and agree works to various scopes of building repairs.

  • Collate costing and values using NSR systems and other portals
  • Preparing valuations on current contracts including variations and final accounts
  • Managing policy holder expectations
  • Work in conjunction with office based coordinators in managing documents and information flow.
  • The person should be a positive individual
  • They must have excellent communication skills
  • Salary depending on experience and agreement
  • 29 days annual leave

  • To undertake regular training courses, both formal or on the job training.
  • Uniform, van, fuel card, PPE etc fully provided.

Knowledge:

  • BDMA Accreditation preferable but training can be given.
  • Basic level of education
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Experience of Fire & Flood Restoration
  • Experience of building construction

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.


 Good computer literacy
  • Microsoft Word
  • Full Driving License with mínimal points

Abilities:

  • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to work within a team, and with a variety of customers
  • Ability to motivate both yourself and others

Personal qualities:

  • To be caring and passionate about good customer service
  • To be reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, hardworking and well organised
  • To have the ability to prioritise workload and be able to work with others making a valuable contribution to the team.

- building surveying: 2 years (preferred)
