There will be additional flexible hybrid working available, from home and our offices at Maxim Park. The post holder will regularly be required to travel across the project location from Fort Augustus to Ardmore.Role PurposeThe postholder will support Balfour Beatty Power T&D project teams to develop and deliver meaningful and measurable social impact within the island community and in West Coast of Scotland, working collaboratively with the wider Balfour Beatty group Social Impact teams and SSEN Economic Development teams.The postholder will deliver projects that enhance sustainable economic development, training, education and support the community to meet their aspirations through charitable giving and volunteering.In addition, the postholder will design and deliver a community engagement programme that will generate positive outcomes and create long lasting legacy.What you'll be doingAs a Social Impact Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:Advertise and appoint a community engagement consultancy to lead on the development of our Social Impact legacy programme for the Skye Reinforcement project.Work closely with project teams and SSEN to research, develop and deliver a bespoke community engagement plan in West of Scotland and that supports development of a similar plan in North East ScotlandDevelop the project economic plan to identify opportunities to engage with local suppliers and promote Social Impact at Supply Chain events.
