If you are passionate about corporate sustainability, we would love to meet you.⠀⠀⠀ ⠀The Opportunity As an Associate Consultant at Sillion, you will support the ESG team on interesting and impactful client projects related to sustainability strategy, disclosures, target-setting, and climate risk modelling projects.
You will engage in a variety of tasks, from researching climate scenarios to working with data to draw out useful insights into sustainability target-setting.
Our specialism is going beyond compliance - giving management teams actionable and decision-useful information related to the climate transition.⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀Role Overview⠀⠀⠀ ⠀Your expected tasks will be to:
Support with the delivery of client projects, using a broad range of skills.
Tasks could include project research, data analysis, preparing interviews and workshops as well as populating presentations with a high level of attention to detail.
Contribute to the wider company goals, setting and achieving a range of tasks to grow the business.Participate in client calls and confidently contribute insights when appropriate.
Manage your own project work, under supervision, to ensure deadlines are met.
Undertake research and learning, keeping abreast of the latest developments and trends in corporate sustainability.
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀Required experience:
1-2 years of experience working in sustainability / ESG-related field.
A degree in a relevant field of study:
Environmental or Sustainability-linked.
Demonstrable experience working or studying with corporate sustainability.
A clear passion for sustainability and in making an impact regarding the sustainable transition.
An ability to explain complex concepts in a non-technical manner.
The desire to take responsibility and operate and learn in a dynamic environment.
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal form.
The ability to solve problems independently – getting input from the team where needed but reaching judgements and solutions independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear, concise, and visually appealing presentations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.⠀⠀⠀ ⠀Ideal experienceFamiliarity with ESG reporting frameworks and disclosure regulations, such as Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT).Experience working with in a start-up, working in small teams to deliver high-quality work.
Experience working in a consulting, or client-facing environment.⠀⠀⠀ ⠀You need not have had experience working directly in this field, but we would expect you to demonstrate a keen and well-evidenced interest in our area.
