In this level 3 apprenticeship role, you will work in the HR team providing a customer focused service to our employees.


To thrive in this role, you should have a strong desire to learn and develop and have a positive can-do attitude.

You will support the HR team in the recruitment process from advertising a vacancy through to a new employee joining the Council and you will also work with payroll and carry out general administration tasks including being involved in our corporate induction event and promoting wellbeing initiatives.


We require someone who has:

  • Good ICT skills
  • Initiative and being inquisitive to problem solve
  • An interest in people and their employment journey
  • Good attention to detail
  • An adaptable approach to work
  • A desire to work as part of a team
Whilst working, you will be entitled to paid study time to complete a level 3 qualification in HR.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, learn and develop new skills whilst building your confidence along the way.

You don't need any previous work experience; however, you will need to be willing to learn and demonstrate good interpersonal, communication and IT skills together with GCSE's 9 to 4 (formally A*-C) in Maths, English and ICT or equivalent.

You must also meet the requirements to be eligible for an apprenticeship.
