Chief Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join our Infrastructure team based in Sellafield on a 17-year framework.

About the Chief Engineer role:

• Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead a team of engineers, works staff, and subcontractors to ensure project delivery to the highest standards of safety and performance. Your responsibilities include ensuring technical compliance with contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Monitoring the program to identify potential risks and opportunities on a daily basis across design, procurement, and construction activities.
• Development and implementation of Temporary Works proposals.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with the client team.

Your qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Collaborative approach with excellent team skills.
• Experience in delivering large-scale projects in regulated environments, such as nuclear projects.
• Proficiency in reinforced concrete construction.
• Thorough understanding of building products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
